Growing up we listened to a lot of old hymns. Trust and Obey was a favorite because it revealed the deep rewards of truly trusting God and obeying his will. Trust can be hard for a lot of us. When we say we trust we are meaning that we have a deep confidence in the reliability of someone or something. The problem is nothing is ever 100% reliable or capable…. except Jesus. It’s why we love the verse Psalm 20:7 which says, “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.” We’ve been constantly trusting God in getting our visas, finishing our support raising, bringing vision to the ministry in Marseille, and even in things working together for success in Nigeria. Whether it’s missions, a business, or raising kids, we must first learn to trust God with all our heart.
