So often in our Christian walk we endure, suffer, weigh the costs, seek rest, but when do we rejoice? Philippians 4:4 says, “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!” Unfortunately, we don’t always do that. It’s because we allow our circumstances to dictate when and how we rejoice. We’ve relegated rejoicing to just the extraordinary events in our lives instead of the everyday small moments. Psalm 118:24 tell us, “This is the day which the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Every time we wake up is a new day the Lord has given us; another chance to continue in the work he has provided us. We rejoice because it is in and through Him that these everyday moments of victory or failure continue to refine us in His image. Whether you’re on the mission field or just going to the grocery store, seek those small moments to rejoice in our Lord!
