It might sound like we are a broken record at this point as we continually speak to you of community. Yet we willingly do so because of how important it is within God’s Word for us, and we are seeing the reality of this as we strive to build a new life in France. When we look back on our lives, we see that we truly never did anything on our own (as much as we might want to boast). There was always a helping hand or someone praying whether we were aware of it or not. Someone chose to hire you in that job, accepted you to that school, invited you to that social gathering. Community drives everything in our world including teams, plans, and partnerships regardless of the field of work or ministry. Here in this ministry, and we hope for you in your own community, we take to heart to what is said in 1 Thessalonians 5:14, “We urge you, brothers and sisters, admonish the unruly, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with everyone.” Hardship seems a bit lighter when carried between others, and victory tastes that much sweeter when shared among those who rejoice with you.
